Outlook XP is very SLOW, please help 1

Hello all,

I am having a problem with outlook XP. Basically it is slow to display or change messages in my inbox. I have like a 2 second delay before it will actually switch to the message that I click on. Does any one have any ideas on what might be causing this slow down?

I have scanned for virii and nothing was found.

Also I just wanted to let people know that I didn't always have this problem... It used to be somewhat responsive but now it is just long an very annoying.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys,

I solved this... basically I did a manual uninstall of ms messenger. And there is an option in outlook that always calls for messenger. So i unchecked that.

If you need to get to the option... it is in "Tools" and "options" and a check box.
