When I am in Outlook and I try to open an Excel file, the error message, "System could not find the specified file" appears. The Excel program will open but without a worksheet. The page is empty and the status bar says,"ready". I can save the attachment to my hard drive and then open it but I can't open it directly from Outlook. This is running on Windows 98 with Office 2000 and Access 97. After this error occurred, I removed Office 97 (except for Access 97) and installed Office 2000. Still, no luck. Do i need updates and or patches? Why is this happening and how can I correct it? Thanks.
