Does anyone know why outlook refuses to see the exchange server.
I put in the server name and account name, click 'check name' and it just says 'operation failed'.
I can ping the server's IP , i've even now edited the darn LMHOSTS file to add the server name.
I've set up VPN and installed SSL VPN user certificate and connected that way even though I'm connected direct to the company's network router!
Nothing I do seems to work.
What's also wierd is outlook when you try to open it, comes up with 'connect to ip xyz" and the VPN certificate is in a drop down? what's that all about?
I've reinstalled office done a repair install of windows , nothing will work?
There is another wierdness going on, in the accounts there is also a pop account, receiving mail seems fine, but when you try to create an email, any email address you type in the recipient field, gets converted to have '=SMTP:mymail@mydomain.com'
Is this going to be a format and start again job?
Any ideas?
