I have one user running Windows XP, with MS Office SR1, that can't tell when she's getting an email unless she goes to create a new email message. Basically this user will be working in another program and will not be notified that a new email has arrived until she selects the create new message. The second she in a blank email she gets the notification "New email has arrived" and she closes the new email and she has 2,3,4 or even 5 new messages. I tested this and found that even when I send an email message it stays in the outbox until I go into the new message option. I've hit the F5 key, I've clicked the "Send/Receive" button and I've even went through click on "Tools" -> "Send and Receive" and nothing, until we go until we open a blank email message. I've even tried a repair and nothing helped. I plan on installing SR3 for Office but I wanted to see if anyone has heard of this before....
