Outlook Web Access not working on XP

We have been using outlook web access for 3 years now and up until now have had no problems. The problem that I am having is when you try to access the OWA using a windows xp pro machine it is not possible. We are using basic authencation on the web server which means you just have to enter the username and password. When you do this on the XP Pro PC the login screen flashes and goes back to the login and therfore not letting you on. Does anyone have any ideas how I can overcome this problem?

I have done some testing today and it will also not logon using challenge response. It will logon to the OWA login screen but it will not logon to the mailbox.

Have you tried logging on from the XP machine using domainname\username and password?

Have you tried using the latest version of IE on the XP Pro machine? If not try that.

Does it gives you any error number or page?
or just stays there in the authentication screen?
Did you check the settings on the server, alias, etc.

Epohl, have tried that already

sandozjr , using the latest version

koquito, no error message. It just stays there on the authentication screen. After three atempts you get a blank white screen. Alias is fine as they have been working OK on all other operating systems (NT, 95, ME)

Dan,

Just a couple of questions, you say you are using IE 6.0 on XP, are your other machines that can successfully logon also using IE 6? Also what service pack do you have applied to exchange and owa ?
