HI!

I don't know anything about it, but if I had it,
one of my first actions would be to apply/reapply SP4 for Exchange.

And also reapply SP6a & SRP.
And ofcourse check for viruses.

Was your server infected by NIMDA or Code Red?
It could be a side effect.

In fact it was infected with this f*cker... pretty nasty one.. I've had so many problems that, as it is a samll server i decided to rebuild it... from blank... everything works fine but that... I did reapply all servicepacks anf hotfixes it had... anyways thaks for the input..

I am having the same problem...I reinstalled everything. The IIS and

http://WWW Publisher

services work, but the Exchange 5.5 SP4 errors out with virtually the same message when it gets to installing the Web Outlook website. I had a Nimda virus attack previously.

I ran into this last problem this week and not until I re-installed IIS 4.0 with a "Typical" install did the problem go away. I'm assuming in my trying to do a custom install (no FTP server for instance) that something gets left out.
