Apologies if there is another thread that covers this but search isn't working at the moment.

I want to use the Location field in Calendar to hold resources and write VBA to check that there is no conflict for that resource (i.e. another calendar entry in the same mailbox has the same location details) in same time frame. My idea is that if there is a conflict, a msgbox will appear after saving.

I have experience in Accees & Excel VBA and temporal relationships but ZERO in using Outlook VBA.

Please can someone help me on my way, if only to indicate what events, actions, methods etc. might help. I'm not proud - so if anyone has actually written the code and is willing to let me know, I would accept it!

Many thanks in advance

Have you considered setting up the locations as separate resources with their own calendars? Sounds like it may save you some work...

Good thought Rob, but the Calendar itself is a bit of a fudge to get round installing MS Project Server and training us and the other users in a corporate project.

I've set up a shared outlook calender (for about 50 people) which is going to act as a simple diary and I though it would be nice to have some code which could potentially stop doble booking of resources.
