Got a nagging problem where users choose MSWord as an editor for their email in Outlook (97-2000). The problem is that, on occasion, the user will compose a new email only to have it return a message that MSWord is busy and then defaults to Rich Text. The user then has to go back in and 're-check' the choice to use MSWord as editor (if they realize what happened) only to have it do it again later. I've been able to determine that on a previous occasion of using Word, the 'Winword.exe' is still active in the Task Manager Processes listing long after MSWord is closed.
Is anyone aware of a fix for this issue? Main problem is with the loss of signature blocks, hyperlinks, etc. when Outlook chooses Rich Text as it's editor, the likes of which the normal user often isn't knowledgeable enough to figure out. ________
