Outlook unable to send...rcpthosts (#5.7.1) error

Hi,

I got installed Qmail onto RH7.3. I think everything is working, but I can't seem to connect to smtp from MS Outlook.

echo mydomain.com > /var/qmail/control/rcpthosts

username: me@mydomain.com


I'm getting this error
Server response 553 sorry, that domain isn’t my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

If you haven't already, make sure your fully qualified domain is listed in rcpthosts.

Like mail.domain.com

See if that helps.

Did you tell qmail to reload that file, after adding the new domain? If you are using the LWQ instructions, you'll already have a script named qmailctl - and you can tell qmail to reload the file by typing:

qmailctl reload

.. at the command prompt. Otherwise, you can do:

svc -h /service/qmail-send

The script to start/stop/reload/etc qmail is on the LWQ site, under section 2.8.2.1:
