I've just upgraded to Windows XP. Re-installed Office 2000 Pro. All the components (Word, Excel, Access etc) work fine except for Outlook.
The Outlook program is unable to start. I get a message stating "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. A required component is missing: OMI9.DLL. Please install Microsoft Outlook again."
Microsoft knowledge base discusses this problem, but only under Windows 98 and Windows 2000!
I tried fixing the registry as recommended in that article, but it was unsuccessful.
When I change the relevent registry key value to '1', then
Outlook loads fine in Corporate/Workgroup mode, but when I change the value to '0' Outlook will not load and gives the error message.
Any advice?
