I am receiving the following message when using Outlook 2002 to retrieve messages from a Hotmail account: Task 'Michael Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Downloading all items.' reported error (0x800CCC19) : 'A timeout occurred while communicating with the server.'

The settings in Outlook (Tools: email accounts, so on and so forth) do not allow me to change any of the time out settings because this is an HTTP account.

I can use Outlook Express and not encounter this problem but when I try to use Outlook I get the error messages. Does anyone have any suggestions for correcting this problem?

Ive had the same problem with Outlook and timing out. Unfortunately I havent found a way to change the amount of time that Outlook tries to reach the server before timing out. I know that some other clients, like Netscape Composer, allows you to change the time attempted.
