I have configured squid proxy on linux system. I am using this proxy for browsing purpose and I am able to browse by configuring this proxy setting in IE. But I am not able to get mails in outlook express using this proxy. Although Outlook express says it can use IE settings for accessing mails it is not working.How can I configure outlook and squid to get mails. My mails are collected from mail.xyz.com which is external server to my network. Also I am not able to ping to these servers but able to browse.
Please help me.
Also how can I block certain websites like prone sites, music sites,mp3 sites etc in squid. Can I block using keywords like mp3,pron etc.
