I am using Outlook 2003,
I am trying to insert a text file into my email. But I get an error saying "Object embedding not allowed". I am trying to attach, not embed the file. How can I fix this problem?

I wouldn't expect this error for a text file even if you were trying to embed it. How are you trying to attach the file? If you change the sending format to HTML or plain text, do you still get this error?

Hi,

Thanks for your respone!

Like you suggested, I changed the format to HTML and plain text. I can now attach files OK. I don't know why RICH text does not work.

Normal behavior for Outlook Rich Text Format is to embed the file (html & plain text attach), so the fact that Outlook is trying to embed, doesn't surprise me. I don't know why you'd get that error, though.
