My taskbar is misbehaving in O2003 - buttons like 'find a contact' are maximising themselves to fill the whole strip and buttons dissapear. They return if I select them from the pulldown on the right, only to dissapear when I select another button from the pulldown.

Not sure if I've explained that too well!

The buttons revert to how they 'ought' to look when I select 'customize' only to dissapear again on clicking 'ok'.

I've noticed an option somewhere in Outlooks bewildering option pages (who WROTE this thing?) to keep the taskbar on two lines, this is greyed out, could it be related??

Thanks!

Bill.

I've just realised this problem extends to the whole Office suite. ANY help, much appreciated, please! :(

Okay I've now gone as far as Uninstalling and reinstalling the entire Office suite and I STILL have this problem!

Anyone?

Well ... it went away for a while... then it came back again.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. !

Just so you know, the same thing happened to me. I tried fixing it, and it didn't work. Then one day, the changes stuck. I have no idea why, or what I did, but it worked.

I guess I'm just trying to tell you that you're not alone in this proble.

It's so wierd. Any damn button that you can enter text into (like 'find a contact' just fills the whole line.... wish I could solve it properly...
