Where would I go to find out what are all the switches for Outlook at? I am writing this script that will launch Outlook automatically when a user logs into a machine. This works fine with two problems...

1. If Outlook is installed on the machine. (This is forgiven, and I don't care too much about this. With an If Else statement, I can bypass this)

2. Outlook is installed on the machine, but Profile has not been setup. This will give spit out an error message.

My goal is to automatically launch Outlook with a switch that will knows how to use the username as a mailbox with a predefine Exchange server.

Is this possible?

Thank you,
Richard.

Switches:
Probably not going to be what you need but since you asked I thought I'd include.

For your users you can use many different tools and have some interesting options. I'm guessing your using 2k workstations with 2002 outlook.

You can do a search on slipstick for profiles or whatever keywords come to mind for your situation.

I know thats not the exact answer but the information above should allow you to set up what you need. Unfortunately there is no exact answer I can give without knowing about your network, roaming profile status, user rights on their machines, outlook versions, etc.

Good luck.

We have used profgen in the past, which carries out exactly what you have exlained, might be easier to manage rather than writing your own code..

Can you post the url to this utility that you just mentioned, please?
