Hi,

Does anyone know how to send a web page via email with the images either attached or embedded. I am trying to send a christmas card to a friend but he can only access emails not the net so i cant just point the images at some web space.

If i knew how to reference the attachments of the email in html that would work wouldn't it??

thanks

If you are using IE you can click on FILE - SEND - PAGE BY EMAIL and it will send the entire web page as an attachement. Not just as a hyperlink.

ahhh, that would be ok if they had a connection to the internet as the images in the email are linked not embedded.

does anyone know a way of sending the images with the page not links??

i noticed in the code for the email there is a line specifying the base could i change this line to point at wherever the attachments of the email live??

cheers

ant

Doh! My bad. Try using the SAVE AS feature and then select Web Archive (*.mht). This creates a file that encodes the the graphic and text into one file. The file can be read by other browsers as well but there is no defualt file association for the file type.
