Just recently I have tried to send some jpeg pictures to a friend, but when he receive's it he can not open it because the attachment is called winmail.dat

Does anyone know what is happening and how to fix it.
Thanks in advance

Don't send in RTF format - send in HTML or plain text. Your friend's mail client (something other than Outlook) can not interpret the RTF format.

We found for a couple of our companies, we have to right click on the Addressee field and turn off the Rich Text there on each e-mail. They are using Lotus for their e-mail platform. Going into our settings and changing to Plain Text did not eliminate the winmail.dat file.
