I have created 6-8 rules in Outlook, mainly to have mail moved to different folders based on the sender. Now, when mail comes in and a rule is applied to it, I don't get a desktop alert.
I can add "show a desktop alert" to each rule, but then in the morning a desktop alert will show up for each email I have received overnight.
Currently I've resorted to creating a stand-alone rule that says show a desktop alert for all mail received after Jan 1, 2007. I have to remember to turn this rule off every night, or when I come in in the morning and open outlook, I'll get a desktop alert for every message I received overnight.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a more graceful workaround? I'd like to be able to keep Outlook minimized all day, and be notified of new emails.
Thanks!
