Is there an easy fix for this problem?
The user is logged into their domain account and when they launch outlook they are prompted with a log-in box with their domain name wanting a password.

Is there a fix for this that doesn't involve me uninstalling that users mailbox?

I ended up deleting all the ost files on the machine, and adding the exchange server address to the hosts file. (one of those two fixed it, was in to much of a rush to do them one by one)

Yikes. Creating a new profile would have created a new .ost file. If you can ping the Exchange server by name, it's not a resolution issue.
