I am having an issue of outlook receiving the same email 3 times.
i have three accounts that access the same server but they are for three different locations. any reason y outlook would receive the same email three times

A couple of reasons-is there any forwarding between the accounts?
Are they for same domain?
Is all the mail donwnloading or does it have to try more than once?
You can right click the mail in the inbox and look in options to see the headers-this will give you an idea of the path that the mail took to get to you-servers etc. This might give you an idea of where it came from. As should the return address.

2 of the three are for the same domain
the headers are the same on the dupicate emails. it looks like the server does not delete the emails from the server when the first account receives them. but i am unsure if this is the case

Check with your mail admin whether there are any aliases associated with the accounts-we had similar problem a while ago.
Could there be a problem with each of the addresses being on the same distribution list or does this happen for every email?

it is only happening with one account and there are no aliases i should know i am the mail admin and web admin for the company... its acting like one outlook account goes and gets the mail then the second goes and get the same emails that the first account got. it does not always happen but it acts like the first account does not delete the emails from the server when it retrieves them. the account setup is a straight through account similar to road runner accounts.

Check your Delivery Options tab for both accounts on the Exchange server to ensure that the emails sent to the one address are not set to be 'auto' forwarded to a second address.

there is no exchange server all of it is done through an outside email domain

Also, do you have the advanced options under the accounts in Outlook to leave a copy of messages on the server?
I can't understand why three different accounts would get the same message though.

HELP!!!!!!!!!! my co-worker got 1000 emails and 900 of them were dups plz help

Your co-worker must have 3 email accounts.
Try (in Outlook):
Tools/E-mail Accounts/E-mail/select "View or change existing e-mail accounts"/next/ then remove the old accounts.

Ignore my last question-I just reread the posts again. I don't understand though-if you are the mail admin how come the mail is from an outside domain?? What kind of server are they using to do the mail? Can you login to the server and check the settinsg for each account? Is the worker meant to get 100 emails in a day usually? Were some of them spam?

I've seen this before, a couple of times. If both instances it was down to corruption with the OL client. I'd recommend completely removing OL from the system, and reinstalling it.

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.

it is an outside domain that i have admin rights to. Most of the emails are spam but even the nonspam emails are getting duped. and there is only one account in outlook
