I ran into a problem with an employee's PST file as it hit 2Gigs it has corrupted. I have tried the Windos PST repair tool and that didn't work. I then tried using a Micorosoft cropping tool, but to get the PST file to an operational size we lost the last 3 weeks of e-mails sent/received. All of the backups of the PST file seem to not work properly either, so this was running for 2-3 weeks somehow over the 2Gig threshold.

Since the Microsoft tools that are suggested don't work for what I need, does anyone know of a 3rd party tool for PST recovery?? If this is something that has to be purchased, that won't be a problem as this is the VP's assistant who's mail is lost (very very important)

Thanks,
Tim

Sorry Tim but it doesn't look good. I work for a fortune 500 company and we ran into the same problem. We were able to save a lot with the MS tools you mentioned but we did have mail that we could not recover.

In our environment we have seen this type of corruption at 750 meg. We communicate to all end users to not have a PST larger than 500 meg or you face the real possibility of looseing some of your important mail. We still get users that don't listen but then you are off the hook for not letting them know.
