Outlook prompts for Exchange pass numerous times 1

I am using Outlook/Exchange
When I open my Outlook the username and password box comes up. My username is already there. I type my password and hit enter. It wipes out the username and password. I retype both. It wipes the password but the username stays. I repeat this 3-4 times and then it connects to exchange and I get my e-mail. I tried creating new profile but when I tried to connect to exchange it tells me that exchange is not available. This started a few days ago.
Any ideas why it would eventually connect me to exchange? If the credentials were wrong I would not be able to use Webmail nor connect after 3rd or 4th try.
Anyone has any ideas?

Why don't you share your FIX so everyone can be enlightened? By not posting your solution, you deny someone else a possible solution when they're surfing for an answer.

Imagine coming across this thread and seing "SOLVED". That wouldn't make you happy.

OK, the second prompt was for Sharepoint not for Exchange
