Outlook Problems (Rules, IMAP, Purging)

I ain't been using Outlook (2002) for very long, I have always been a user of Outlook Express, mainly for the speed. But since using Outlook I have nothing but problems.

I'm also using IMAP not POP3 and I have listed the problems below:

1. When receiving emails I have to select every folder on the server and this ca result in Send and Receive for up to near 60 folder, which takes Ages. If I dont do this when an emails in sent to a folder by a Mail Rule the folder does not show as having any UnRead mail.

2. I setup loads of Mail Rules for my emails but all of a sudden they have stopped working. All emails are left in the Inbox (root).

3. Is there any way to turn on Auto Purge Deleted Mails. As when I delete or move an email they are not moved, just copied and the original has a line through it, which I then have to select "purdge deleted mails" in the menu.

Maybe you should try to fix this step by step...

What exactly is the problem? Can you explain it another way?
