Outlook Problem

Having an interesting problem with outlook. If I delete an e-mail and then empty the deleted items folder, they will re-appear in the deleted item folder the next time that you open outlook. The only way to make sure that the folder gets emptied and stays emptied is to hit the send recieve button during that session. Any ideas?

Sounds like you are running in cached mode which might be good to do if you are not always connected to the network, such as with a laptop on travel. Cached mode allows you to process your e-mail while you are offline and then send and receive replies when you are back online.

Well, thanks for the suggestion. We fixed the problem another way. We upgraded to Outlook 2003 and it now works as it should.
