Outlook Print to file

I wish to send printer output to a file rather than the printer. I've selected the Print to File Option on the print dialog box and sent the print job to a word document but it comes out as rubbish.
Anyone have any ideas?

It's possible to highlight a group of messages (in your inbox for example)and send them to the printer. The printer output is the view you would see on the screen (for your inbox) before you open up any messages i.e a list of messages with the From, Subjest, Received, size fields, listed. It this that I want to send to a document.
