I am using Outlook 2000 on W98 and Office 97.
When I try to select the out of office assistant I get an error telling me it can't be configured followed by a warning that 'system resources are dangerously low try closing some windows...'needless to say there are no other applications running.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling right back to office 97 but with no change.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Are you using an Exchange server as this option is only available when an Exchange server is used. joegz

Just because the "Out of Office Assistant" is showing as an option, it doesn't mean it was installed properly. It may need to be re-installed. But like the guy above said, you need to be using MS Exchange.
