Hello,
Exchange 2003, OL 2003. User1 has a CompanyA e-mail and a CompanyB e-mail that's in the GAL as a contact. When I use my CompanyA e-mail to send to User1's CompanyB e-mail I get this NDR:
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
User1 on 1/1/2005 8:00 AM
The format of the e-mail address is incorrect. Check the address, look up the recipient in the Address Book, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.
<Server.CompanyA.fqdn.com #5.1.3>
Others with CompanyB OWA can e-mail fine to User1's CompanyB e-mail (server OK) and User1 can e-mail to other CompanyB e-mails. I tried having User1 re-download the address book, clearing the address cache in Outlook. I recreated the contact but still no luck. I made sure the syntax is correct in the contact info. I also tried manually typing in User1@CompanyB.com but no luck. Does Outlook automatically resolve against the GAL when typing in the address like this? If so, it explains why the error persists...just where is the problem...
Any ideas at all? Thanks in advance for your time and help!
