Help I screwed up with Win 2000 and deleted a user indentity. I got all the data back but my e-mails, and address book. I have tried to search the hard drive with .wab and so forth with no success. Is there a certain place that all the messages are kept? Is it possible they have different file extentions in win 2000. Microsoft wants to charge me $245 to even listen to the problem. What a joke! I need help bad. Thanks for the help ahead of time!!

In Outlook, if the messages were being delivered to a local file then the e-mail will be in a .pst (Personal Folder) file. The Personal Address book is in a .pab file.

If you deleted just the Outlook profile that would not delete the files. If you deleted the Windows 2000 profile for the user and the files were being stored in that directory then they are gone if the recycle bin has been emptied.

I would check to see if you can find any .pst and .pab files on the machine. joegz
