Outlook - meeting request not working

Have a misbehving Outlook (XP)

When they send a meeting request it shows up as the email message below rather than the ususal way:

In searching for an answer to my own problem I found the answer to yours in the Microsoft KNowledge Base. You didn't say whether or not you're using Exchange Server, but unless you are, you need to first check to ensure that all your messages get sent and received using Rich Text (all users need to do that) and then you need to use the icalendar option instead of the vcalendar option. That's in Tools Options, calendar options, down at the bottom it says advanced options, check the box to use icalendar. If that doesn't fix it, I'm stumped as well.
