Hi there,

I had what I thought was a simple question from a user today but despite googling and playing around I cant see an obvious answer... even though there may be one!

Scenario:

User is in HR and organises seminars etc for people. She wants to send out Meeting Requests for people for when they have training etc but she doesnt want it to block out her own calendar when she does this! A reasonable request and something that the old GroupWise (yuk) system actually facilitated quite well.

Have I missed a glaringly obvious solution here!? Outlook doesnt let you remove yourself from the attendance list.

Much thanks as always!

I think if you set up a public calendar, and schedule the event from there you can do what you want.

The user setting up the meeting will be prompted "Do you want to update your own calendar?" To which she can reply "No".

Hi,
You can do what mintjulep recommends by right-clicking on the existing calendar and selecting New Folder. Give the new calendar a name. This creates a new calendar that can be used for this scheduling meetings with going on the user's calendar.
HTH,

Best,
Blue Horizon [2thumbsup]
