Outlook maximum number of recipients

this is what I am told - I have to send a company email to over 100 employees. I am told by our internet company that Outlook only allows you to add 50 email addresses at a time. If there are 5 bad email addresses within the entire email will not go.

I have trouble sending mass emails to employees. I receive messages such as "sender quota rejection". I'm a bit frustrated. Bell who is our internet provider is telling me this with regard to Outlook (we do not use Exchange) and the contractor who hosts our email and website tells me it's Bell. Neither of them can point to me to any documentation to support what they are saying.

Is it that difficult to send the same email 5 times to 5 different groups of addresses?

Or better do a mail merge to sends to each addressee individually.

Gmail, for example, has one limit if you use them directly and a smaller limit (and it happens to be 100) if you use a client such as Outlook.

Outlook may have a limit, but it is certainly more than 100.

Your ISP can, and probably does, limit the number of addresses you can send to, to prevent you sending spam through their servers. RFC 2821, the standard for SMTP, specifies that at least 100 recipients must be allowed and, in practice, I believe, most ISPs set the maximum to 100 as well.

There will be a setting somewhere to change this, but it is probably not available to you, and may not be available to your e-mail management company either. Your ISP should know about this.
