Normally when I am using outlook and viewing my email, if I need to do something with it I drag the email over the task icon and up pops a task item with the same subject line as the subject line of the email and the body of the email in the body of the task item (try it, its cools).
Thats great but if there are attachments to the email they don't get transferred to the task in the process.
So, what I am looking for is a macro that opens a new task item having the same subject line, content, and category as a selected email in my inbox. In addition, I would like to insert into the task item a hyperlink to any attachments found in the email.
Wow, can that be done? I am pretty proficient in using vb for macros in Excel but have never attempted to make one in outlook.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
