I have a customer who uses Outlook to get his email, and it seems that randomly every couple of days, his mail server settings for mail gets changed to 127.0.0.1. I have done a few searches to find the solution but have only come up with that an anti-virus software package may be the culprit. He has the corporate (server) client version of Trend Micro on his desktop, but I don't know how or why that would change it. I even called Trend Micro to ask them about it and they said it probably wasn't their software that was doing it. Any ideas what could be causing this? The user is using Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

It's either the anti-virus software or some anti-spam software & it's supposed to do this. When it's working properly, most people won't even notice. However, I assume that because you've noticed & are asking about it that something isn't working correctly. What is happening that's prompting the question?
