Outlook Laggs at Startup

Hi There,

I have a user who's outlook cannot open right away and freezes at the welcome screen. I tried reinstalling the office and creating new pst and ost files as well as checking them, but nothing helped me. I tried most of the options in the google search involving unchecking "enable for messaging" option. Everyone else in the office(3 users)are not having this problem. I also ran detect and repair and tried to run the application in safe mode. Nothing helped me. Also, I tried to run the program under a different domain login on the same PC and I am experiencing the same lag and freeze.

Can anyone please help me with this?

Have you tried accessing the account from another computer? It may be account related... Just a thought.

Other than that, if you killed the profile and rebuilt, then you may have the wild "Corrupt Outlook" beastie...
Does this happen if you just setup a POP account and PST? It seems odd, but this may be a conflict with something else...

When did this start occuring? was this a new install or has the user been using it a while? Was there a new piece of software installed just before this started happening? If so, do a system restore and see if it clears the problem. Any other information regarding the system could help in the diagnosis...
