Outlook keeps prompting for password

I have a user who changed her network password and now keeps getting prompted by outlook, whenever she logs in to the network, for her password. Why is this happening all of a sudden? Should I try resetting her password again? Maybe to her original password? I would really like to get this situation fixed. Thanks!

PS. I have already checked the registry to see if that particular key had missing values, but it checked out fine.

I've had this problem before as well just a thought but if you haven't already ask the user to log out do a restart of the machine. Then get the user to log in again with the new password then go into Outlook.

I realised that I had the user go in and out of Outlook, but never actually logged off, once I logged off the user and started again from scratch it worked. Just to make sure you could actually reset the password once more to something completely different.

Other things to check, include making sure network cable is in the machine and in wall socket etc. Or if laptop and dials in make sure actually connected etc. You could also get someone else to log onto the machine and then into outlook does that work ok? Also ask the user to log into another machine then log into Outlook can they log in? Thinking about it probably best to check this before resetting password again, otherwise you will go round in a circle.

Thanks to you both I will give each solution a try. PCmad I am able to logon to the PC and use outlook w/o any problems. So it has something to do with that specific user. SMAH - from what I recall the prompt only occurring after the user logs in for the fist time. It does not prompmt again unless the user logs out.

In outlook there is an option to save your password
outlook may have the old password saved so that is why it is continuing to prompt for the password - go in to outlooks options and change the saved password
