Outlook: How to prevent from downloading attachment automatically?

Situation: Outlook 2003, Hotmail and 56k connection.

When I click an email with large size attachment in Inbox, Outlook always freezes until the attachment is downloaded. Is there any configuration that when I click an email, Outlook downloads header AND Content only BUT NOT attachment?
