Outlook hangs when trying to save file on network

Running Win2K with Outlook 2000 and have noticed that when I try to save an email and go to choose the directory, it hangs for a minute or so then it lets me save it. I have installed the patches and sp3 but the problem has not gone away. Anyone have an answer to this problem?
