Hi, fellows.
1. Trouble of Internet Address
I still have the problem of Internet address. It seems that this address (admin@test.com) can't be resolved. The email can not be deliveried. When I use GWC, the client still let me send Email to "Admin". Howerver, once I connect the Ms outlook 2003 to GW with Novell protocol, It won't let me send to anyone.
I tried to send admin.staffpo.gwdomian, and admin@test.com. None of them can work.

2. Question of missing address book
The Distribution list was fine before I use MSOULK to connect the GW. When I try to reconnect the GWC to GW after trying MSOUTLK, the distributions list is missing. The outlook contact replaces the Distribution list.
Any ideas?

3. When I try to connect the OUTLOOK EXp and Ms Outlook to GW by IMAP, POP, I got failed. It seems that I can't pass the authentication. I checked the GWIA, the pop and IMAP , smtp are ok. But they got TCP/IP error and PASS AU error.
Any helps?

sorry for bringing you guys so much troubles. But they are important questions for me.

With your problems, I can see a pattern starting to form. And it seems to start with the words 'MS' and 'Outlook'. I wonder if this is just a coincidence. Why waste your time on Outlook. It's causing all of your problems.

To dear Marvhuffaker:
The Internet address problem does exist before I begin to use OULK. I think it must be wrong configruation on my GW server. I can't ask my users who have used the MS OULK at home and company to begin a new learning progress of GWC.

The Internet address problem can be dealt with. Something is wrong in your GWIA setup.

The outlook problem can be resolved like this:

"Dear Staff:

The Company/Agency/School/Organization has invested a great deal of time and money into it's current technology solutions. We have chosen and implemented Novell GroupWise for all of our mail/calendaring/collaboration needs. This decision was made based on the need to implement a solution which is highly secure, reliable, has a low management cost, and is immune to virus attacks and propogation.

To further minimize support costs, it is necessary to implement a standard for which software should and should not be used in the environment. It is our policy that GroupWise is the only supported email platform to be used in our <organization>. Other platforms such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc are not permitted. Any use of a non-standard email Client will not be supported and will be at the users own risk. Any damage to GroupWise databases, address books, calendars, etc done by using non-standard software and/or configurations will not be supported.

Your cooperation to support company policy is appreciated.

Sincerly,

IT Department"

Urr, Dear Marvin:
-_-b It's a very nice idea to restrict people by this way. But I really want to fix it up. Thank u for your advice, anyway. :>
