Hello

Using GM 5.5, Outlook 2002

When the user uses the E-mail Center from Goldmine and sends to a group created in the global address list, the accountno is left blank in the conthist record, even though the "Link" check box is checked.

The history record is created correctly if the e-mail is sent to a single person.

Does anybody know why this would happen?

Thanks
Dave

Sounds like a bug.. 5.5 is so old I'm in the help|About screen still (I haven't worked there for almost 5 years)

That being said, I am a little hazy as to why you mentioned Outlook 2002 in your message as GoldMine is an e-mail client on it's own. do you have a link set up to Outlook or.. ?

Hi Doug

I mentioned Outlook because when I click the button next to the Link check box, there is an option for "To: Outlook (MAPI) recipient" and the user was picking a group from Outlooks Global adddress list - I thought it might be relevant

The company I work for decided to get another software package to replace Goldmine, that is why we haven't upgraded. There was an issue with support with Frontrange when we went to move to 5.7 and they wanted alot of $ to cover lapse in our support package, so it was decided not to upgrade.

Thanks
Dave
