Outlook FUBAR - It's worse than I thought...

After performing a PC Recovery, and reinstalling MS Office 2007, I thought Outlook's problem was limited to the inability to create mail accounts. When I tried I got an error message saying the [blue]operation failed due to a registry or installation problem[/blue]. When I tried the same from the control panel, it simply did not respond.

Per JPaules suggestion in my previous thread, I tried to configure Outlook Express for email. I can now send, but not receive, email.

More about Outlook: it will not let me save ANYTHING - no contacts, no appointments, nothing. It says [blue]"Item cannot be saved to this folder. The folder was deleted or moved, or you do not have permission."[/blue]

Thoughts? Do I need one of those registry repair programs? I thought deleted registries could be recreated, but I don't know much about them.

Thanks everyone!
GS

Update: In Outlook Express, I can now receive email.

I had to disable the Secure Password Authentication.

Of course, I can't even get that far with Outlook...

Sigh.
