Hi all:

I need to determine from whom a message is from when I receive an e-mail.

Any ideas?

Here's why: We have a client for whom I send out a blast of bad credit cards used to purchase items that we own, but many times, the e-mail address is bogus, which in turn is sent back via the "System Administrator". I would like to isolate those e-mails and put them in a table (that part is easy), but I cannot find a "From" property.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the SenderEmailAddress and SenderName properties of the MailItem object.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thanks PHV.

I use Outlook 2000, which does not have the SenderEmailAddress. I have isolated these "Returned" e-mails using the olReport class and can get the following:

CreationTime and Subject. How can I get the body? If I can read the body of the e-mail, I can parse the strings and get the rest.

Any ideas?

Ron in Outlook 2000 you'll be looking for the SenderName property.
