I setup Outlook (2002) on a laptop for someone to check company email. This person will take the laptop home and wants to send/recieve from home. My understanding is the outgoing (SMTP) server from home needs to be the users home ISP server. Does mean you need to change the setting each time you go home and then again when you return to the office? This can'tbe, right? I added a second "e-mail account" with a fake incoming (pop3) server and her home isp as the outgoing server. Now 2 of every message is uploaded when receiving emails messages. What is the proper way of doing this?

There might be an elegant workaround to this, but that is the situation I am in with my laptop. I just change the outgoing server as needed.

Not much help but I'm here to commiserate with you. :)
