outlook for macintosh

can anyone help me with this error. when ever my mac people open certain emails the following errors occur.

'The item could not be displayed. You've exceeded the maximum amount of text.'

There doesn't seem to be any pattern to which emails it can and can't open.

Our graphic designers receive the same error message if they have to many fonts open in Font Reserve or Suitcase. If you just have the standard system fonts then one or more may be corrupt.
