when ever i open outlook on the mac here i get the log on box and that's it it never opens. any ideas?

Mac version of Exchange requires you to logon. Have you got the details correctly?

yes i have it has something to do with the p[refernces folder but it's beyond me.

Are you Exchanging or POP3ing?

What services are you running in the outlook setup?
