Using Outlook, is it possible to sort mail into different folders, depending on whether the sender is or is not listed in your address book? Clive

Use the Rules Wizard found under the TOOLS menu in your Inbox. *Remember.......
If you don't use your head,
your going to have to use your feet.

Thanks for the response. I don't have Outlook which is why I was asking. Can I take it that your answer is Yes? Clive

Yes, the answer is 'yes'. Outlook's rules have great capability if implemented properly.

smah,

Thanks. Is it possible to delete all mail from people who are not in your address book. If so this would appear to be a good way to get rid of spam without even having to review it.

Clive

Yes that rule is possible. Keep in mind that that rule by itself will also catch any 'subscription mailings' that you actually want, unless you add the sender to your address book.

Another of my favorite spam catching rules is 'When my name is not in the to: or cc: fields, delete it. Once again some additional rules are required, or this would catch some things that I don't want it to.
