Had a request from a member of staff for flags to be automatically applied to email as they arrive in that mailbox.

Basically we have a support mailbox, of which all the suppoprt mail hits he wants certain emails to have flag applied, NOW he has setup a rule but this only works client side, Is there anyway of making a client side rule Server side so it runs without outlook open ?

i belive that you can set-up a rule that does this in Outlook go to tools and then rules and then configure a rule

Yeah ive done that but this is client side only, and the only way for these to work is for outlook to be open , :(

i need a server side 1 that, but its looking like im going to have a dummy machine running outlook all the time.

usually you can tell the rule if it is a server side rule or client do you not have this option
