Outlook Find Pane is missing

I have a user that has indicated they can't use the find feature in Outlook. When I investigated I found that the find button is present on the toolbar however when you click the button the find pane fails to open as it does on other computers. I have looked ever place and can't find anything that address this issue. Has anyone here seen this and what did you do to repair the issue.

See if the user can use Tools-Find. If so, I would do Tools-Customize, and drag the find button off the toolbar, then close out of Outlook. Then go back into Outlook and do Tools-Customize, and put it back, to see if that works.

Nothing guaranteed here, but worth a try.
