I have a user with Outlook problems. We are running 2003 with all the latest service packs, but when he closes Outlook something is not working correctly. A process called Outlook.exe continues to run and it cannot be reloaded untit this process has been ended.

I resintalled the whole of office, plus all the service packs and this had the effect of stopping the yellow Outlook icon appearing in the system tray when it was shut down, but the process is still running.

If I log into another workstation as the user (we have roaming profiles) the problem does not appear, so it seems to be specific to the users laptop.

Any ideas? I don't really want to go though the trauma of re-installing Windows.

Thanks in advance.
