Supposing a system crash. I have a backup copy of Outlook Express folder and a file with exported rules. Is this good for me ? How to reinstall Outlook Express with same rules and past archive of messages after full reinstall of Windows XP ? The best way for doing that ? I preferred with no other third party software. Thanks a lot !

If you have a backup copy of your message store, you can use OE's File, Import, Messages function to import your mail. But there is currently no direct way within OE to import your rules. For my own curiosity, how did you 'export' your existing rules without third party software? - Did you just export the registry key? If so, re-importing directly will not work because the new system will have a different GUID.
