Outlook Express: unable to see attachments 2

I am running XP Professional with Office 97 and have Outlook Express as the mail client. When I receive an email with an attachment I am unable to see the attachment and get "OE removed access to the foloiwng unsafe attachments in your mail documents" and am unable to see the file. I check the options settings, but didn't see anything to allow the attachment from showing.
